Eligibility for Pakistan Air Force: ISSB Test

Joining the Air Force is a citizen’s ultimate dream to touch the skies and protect the nation from above with unmatched skill and valor. There are various courses of the Pakistan Air Force. The applicant must be a Pakistani citizen to join these courses. The eligibility for each course of Pakistan Air Force is as follows (Year: 2025).

■ PERMANENT COMMISSION (PC)

1. General Duty Pilot (GDP)

Education: FSc (Pre‑Engineering/Pre‑Medical/Computer Science) or A level (Physics, Maths, Biology) with at least 60% marks or FSc with Physics and any two subjects in Maths, Biology, Statistics, and Computer Science. Minimum 65% marks are often specified in recent official criteria.
Gender: Male/Female
Age: 16 to 22 years (age limits are usually calculated as of a specific cutoff date in the advertisement).
Marital Status: Un‑married
Height: Minimum 5 feet 4 inches (163 cm).
Vision: 6/6 in each eye without glasses (strict requirement for pilot roles).
Training: Four‑year training at PAF Academy Risalpur. BS in Aviation Science & Management from Air University will be awarded on successful completion of training.

2. Aeronautical Engineering

Education: Matric with first division and 65% marks in FSc (Pre‑Engineering) or A‑level with Maths, Physics & Chemistry.

Age: 16 to 22 years
Marital Status: Un‑married
Height: Male: 5 feet 4 inches; Female: 4 feet 10 inches
Vision: Vision standards are generally required to be medically fit but are less strict than GDP.
Training: 4 years at the College of Aeronautical Engineering. BE/BSc Engineering from NUST or an equivalent degree will be awarded on successful completion of training.

3. Air Defense

Education: FSc (Pre‑Engineering/Pre‑Medical/Computer Science) or A level (Physics, Maths, Biology) with at least 60% marks or FSc with Physics and any two subjects in Maths, Biology, Statistics and Computer Science.
Gender: Male
Age: 16 to 22 years
Marital Status: Un‑married
Height: 5 feet 4 inches (163 cm).
Training: Four‑year training at PAF Academy Risalpur. BS in Aviation Science & Management or BS in Air Defence Management from a recognized university will be awarded on successful completion of training.

Training: Forty‑two (42) weeks. Selectees may undergo branch‑specific course training at PAF training institutions.

Education: B.B.A (4 years) / BSCS / BSIT / BCS / BS (Physics/Chemistry/Maths/Economics/Statistics) / B (Pharmacy) / BE with at least 2nd Division.
Gender: Male
Age: 18 to 30 years
Marital Status: Married/Un‑married

Training: Forty‑nine (49) weeks.

3. Accounts

Education: M.Com / B.B.A (4 years) / M.B.A / ACMA or ACCA with at least 2nd Division.

10. General Duty Medical Officer – GDMO
